Just updating the website using “WordPress”, and bear with me, as this is very new , and I’m learning new skills in the “website publishing” world

Hi , Just been running through the song “set list” for the 2023 St Ives September Festival

That’s enough to keep me going for the 5 hour music marathon held on the Saturday in the Western Hotel.
Can’t wait , but I must change guitar strings next week ..

Had a really great session in the “Western Hotel ” St Ives, played my new song “Sands” which was received really well, as well as few of my favourites that I like to play at the festival..

I had a fantastic week at the St Ives Festival of Music and the Arts, re-connected to old friends and made some new ones.
Sang the songs that I really wanted to play , but time just goes so fast. The guitar as always sounded amazing and really is a pleasure to play. I’m now looking at a couple of other songs to add to the list , we currently are at 24, so not sure how many I can remember. Again, a fantastic time as always , and sure looking forward to September 2024.

Looking at adding at least one if not two songs to the set list for next years festival. I’ve come across an artist called Lee Hazelwood , and there are some interesting songs , so I am looking at a couple of those , I am also working on another couple of my own , but as usual , they are not yet going to plan, although one of them does have a great tune, but no words as yet…the words I wrote don’t fit the tune …Ha Ha Ha

So a new year has started and is upon us, so time to look at new songs and also tighten up the existing songs that I play. I have a book of “Old West” songs sang by the cowboys and men who rode the plains, and so over the next few weeks I am going to immerse myself in that world an see what comes out of it. I always find a nice Bourbon Whiskey helps this process….
19th January 2024
Travelled over to Dublin to see Christy Moore at Vicar Street, absolutely amazing concert , and he really was on top form, I’m glad we took 2 pints in with us , as there wasn’t a break in his set list. Sat around a table with a lovely couple, Gerry and his wife, Farmers from Galway, a brilliant evening , and then back home the following day..

So Happy Birthday to me…
I’ve got a Lekato ws90 Wireless Guitar System for the Gibson Hummingbird and the Marshall AS100 Amp. Wow ..!! The wireless system is really great, absolutely brilliant , and it makes playing even more of a pleasure , as there are no wires to stand on , pull out of the guitar (and possibly damage) or trip over. I have been working on another couple of songs to add to the “Festival Set List” and so far really pleased how they are coming along , although “North to Alaska” certainly tests out the vocal chords. But it’s great fun , that’s what it’s all about…..now where did I put that beer ..
